Studio Assistant & Photography Support (Part-Time) - Sundays Required

Sanders Fine Portraits is a luxury, family-owned fine art portrait studio known for creating heirloom artwork that celebrates family legacy. Our studio experience is highly personalized, high-touch, and detail-driven from start to finish.


We are seeking a part-time Studio Assistant who will play a key support role on Sundays in-studio, while also providing photography assistance, occasional photographer backup support, and child-care/concierge services for client families during sessions. The ideal candidate is outgoing, charismatic, and able to build rapport quickly with both children and adults, while remaining highly detail-oriented and proactive in anticipating the needs of clients and the studio team.


This is a great opportunity for a student, photography intern, or someone who enjoys working with families, children, and a creative studio environment.


Schedule & Compensation


Part-time role, approximately 20-30 hours per week

Required: Sundays in-studio

Additional hours scheduled as needed

Starting at $18 per hour


Flexibility is essential. This role supports the team where needed and hours may vary.


Role Overview


This position blends three key functions:


  1. Studio & Photography Assistant
  2. Photographer Support / Backup Coverage
  3. Childcare & Client Concierge Support

You will be an essential part of creating a seamless, warm, and elevated client experience while also supporting the production and photography team behind the scenes.



Primary Responsibilities


Childcare & Client Concierge Experience

Provide attentive childcare for young children during portions of the appointment when parents are in design consultations

Engage children in a warm, calm, and positive way to help create a relaxed environment for the family

Assist with light concierge-style service for clients (offering refreshments, assisting with belongings, helping families feel comfortable and cared for)

Support a luxury, high-touch experience for every client who walks through our doors


In-Studio Photography & Production Support

Assist photographers during sessions with lighting adjustments, set preparation, posing assistance, processing, pre and post-session organization

Help maintain a clean, organized, and client-ready studio environment at all times

Assist with transitions between sessions to keep the day running on schedule


Photographer Backup (As Needed)

Step in to photograph select sessions when needed (training provided)

Maintain consistency with Sanders Fine Portraits posing, lighting, and brand style


General Studio Support

Assist with light administrative, organizational, or operational tasks as needed

Help with packaging, organization, and studio upkeep

Be a positive, helpful presence for the entire team



Ideal Candidate

Required experience:

Previous experience in a customer service, hospitality, childcare, or other client-facing environment where providing a high level of care and attentiveness was essential


Preferred (not required):

Prior photography experience or education, or a strong interest in photography and creative work
